Bret Anthony Yancey

Bret Anthony Yancey, age 60, of Dacula, GA passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.  He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Merla Yancey of Dacula, GA; children, Leahmae Manga, Eunice Manga, Bret Manga Yancey; brother Clay (Denese Yancey) of Oklahoma City, OK; and other relatives.  Mr. Yancey was born on November 6, 1963 in Kingsville, TX and was a graduate of the Guymon Public School in Guymon, OK.  He also attended Panhandle State University in OK.  Mr. Yancey was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was a Petty Officer First Class. While in the navy, he attended the Navy School for Information System, the Air Force School for Advance Systems, Administrators for Solaris Unit, and the Navy School for Crypto-logical Account Management.  He also had a certification of Navy Technical School that archives the 2318 NEC Communications and attended the Navy Senior Leadership School.  Mr. Yancey was an engineer with Datapath, Inc. for over thirty years.  He was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Buford.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Church of Buford with Pastor Jordan Copeland officiating.  Interment will be on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the GA National Cemetery with Military Honors by the Navy located in Canton, GA.  The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., prior to the Funeral Service.
