Elfriede (Elfi) Justice, 82, of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024.
She was born on August 13, 1941, in Berlin, Germany. She met the love of her life, Taylor
Justice, who was a US Army MP (military police) stationed in Wildflecken, Germany. They were
married on July 16, 1962, under German law and again on July 17, under American law. She
moved to the United States in 1964 and became a United States citizen in 1969. She worked as a waitress
and a seamstress at Baldwin Enterprise in Milledgeville, Georgia. She retired from Central State
Hospital in Milledgeville, Georgia, at the age of 62, where she was an activity therapist. She lived in
Irwinton, Georgia, for 51 years before moving to Mt. Airy, Georgia, to be closer to her daughter. She had
been a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Toccoa, Georgia, for 9 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Werner Treipel and Bernd
Treipel.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Taylor Justice; daughter Monika Knight (Ken) of
Cleveland, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday July 19, 2024 at Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverend Stacy Penland officiating. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M.
Interment will be Saturday at Irwinton Masonic Cemetery
