Evelyn Univee Shope

Mrs. Evelyn Univee Shope, age 84, of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville campus.

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 13, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Shope was born August 29, 1939 in Dahlonega, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Lula Berry Black.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Black.

She  is survived by her husband, Henry Shope of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law,   Mike and Perci Shope of Dunwoody, daughter, Jo Jones of Gillsville, brother, Bill “Buster” Black of Dahlonega, sister, Minnie Lou Westbrook of Dahlonega. Grandchildren, Adrian and Synthia Jones, Megan and Aaron McCollum, Kelton Shope,  Jenica Shope; Great Grandchildren, Beckham Jones and Carsyn Jones.
