David Yancey Strength, age 65, of Clarkesville, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
Born on October 10, 1958, in Demorest, he was a son of the late John Peyton Strength, Jr. and Murl Jane Woodall Strength. He spent his time in Carrollton and Clarkesville, but had resided mainly in the latter since 1999. Mr. Strength retired from Sunbelt where he worked as a glazier installing windows on high-rise buildings. After retirement, he worked at Walmart as a grocery picker. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising chickens.
Survivors include his son, Sterling Strength of Cornelia; daughter, Hali Strength of Douglasville; grandchildren, Kellyanne Strength and Maryann Strength; brothers, John Peyton Strength, III of Dallas, TX and Paul Wayne Strength of Newnan; sister, Elizabeth Jane Ward of Cornelia; and several nieces and nephews.
No formal services are planned at this time.
