Stephen Wayne Forrester

Mr. Stephen Wayne Forrester, 62, of Lula, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Pastor Richard Cole will officiate. Interment will be in Hickory Flat United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on May 9, 1962 in Lula, he was the son of Brenda Garrison Forrester and the late O.C. Forrester. He was a self-employed mechanic and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his father, Mr. Forrester was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hobert and Cordelia Forrester and J.H. and Lenora Garrison.

Mr. Forrester is survived by his mother, Brenda Forrester of Lula; daughter, Katy Forrester Kerns of Lula; brother and sister in law, Mike and Cindy Forrester of Lula; grandsons, Gage Gooch, Dylan Gooch of Gainesville; granddaughter, Lottie Kerns of Lula; special favorite niece, Jennifer Nelson and Josh McIntyre of Gainesville; great nephew, Austin Nelson of Gainesville; great niece, Reece Nelson of Dahlonega; great-great nephew Liam Nelson of Gainesville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving relatives.
