Robbie Lanell Sutton Godfrey, 83, died June 30, 2024, in Ormond Beach, FL

Robbie spent most of her life around Atlanta, GA. She was an accounting supervisor for Travelers Insurance before retiring. She was an active member of Park Place Baptist Church, Snellville, GA. She loved traveling, cooking, spending time with friends and her greatest joys came from her family.

She was proud to marry Oscar in 1980 and gain two stepchildren, Randy & Jennie. After their retirement, Oscar & Robbie spent time traveling to many places, volunteering with Operation Sandbox, sewing dolls for children in hospitals and, most importantly, visiting their grandchildren. Everyone who spent time with Robbie felt her warmth and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Oscar Godfrey; her mother Martha Helen Sutton (Smith); and father Roy Sutton. She is survived by her sister, Martha Tench (Leslie), Randy Godfrey (Debbie); Jennie Barr (Ryan); grandsons Jacob Godfrey and Patrick Barr; granddaughters Sarah Weidlein (Kyle) and Savannah Barr; great grandchildren Selah, Judah, Renah & Everett.

Funeral services will be held Friday July 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church.  Rev. Jeff Clegg will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
