Dandre’ (Dre) Marquel Perry was born in Buffalo, New York on April 25th, 1993, to Charles Edward Perry Jr. and Lanita Thomas. Dre moved to Gainesville, Georgia at an early age and resided there for the remainder of his life. He graduated from East Hall High School where he was an astonishing asset to their basketball team. He would watch videos of his favorite NBA player, Kobe Bryant, and then reenact the same stunts on the court. Aside from basketball, Dre enjoyed wearing hats, listening to music, landscaping (which he learned from his grandfather), and spending time with his loved ones. He was a wonderful grandson, son, brother, uncle, husband, and bonus dad. He loved a lot, but there is nothing he loved more than the family he came from and his bonus family with his wife, Christy Perry. On the outside he was sweet, quiet, laid-back, and soft-spoken, but once comfortable Dre was a silly, outspoken man with a sense of humor who loved showing his beautiful, crooked smile; and that’s how we shall remember him now and forever. When we wear our hats backwards, listen to Michael Jackson, see a #10 jersey, walk on a basketball court, watch the Lakers play, may we remember the genuine soul of our beloved Dandre’ Marquel Perry and wear our crooked smiles like he would. He is reunited in the Kingdom with his paternal grandparents Charles Edward Perry Sr. and Cora Lee Hall, his uncle Benjimin M. Sweetwine Jr., his niece Royalty Perry, and cousin Rayshon Cottrell. He is survived by his maternal grandparents: James and Juanita Beavers, his parents: Charles E. Perry Jr. and Lanita Thomas, his wife: Christy Perry, his siblings: Anthony Thomas, Tawanda Thomas, Charles Perry lll, Damone Perry, Markelowe Perry, Marqwell Perry, Toniesha McGee, and Jayden Perry. His nephews: Nasir Thomas, Charles Perry llll, Jarvis Dixon Jr, King Perry, Royal Perry, Kai Perry, and Sincere Thomas. His nieces: Ezra Perry, Adrianna Perry, Reign Thomas, Janiya Dixon, Jayvonna Dixon, and Janova McGee. His bonus kids: Quaylon Washington, Kariyah Poole, and Saniyah Poole. And loving aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends.
