William “Bill” Sutton Sr

William “Bill” Cleveland Sutton Sr., age 87 of Sautee Nacoochee, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born May 26, 1937, in Mexia, Texas to the late Cleve and Bessie Pittman Sutton. He was an engineer for Orbit Manufacturing and most recently worked for Jacky Jones Jeep and was a veteran of The Texas National Guard as well as a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. Bill will be remembered not only as a loving and faithful husband, father, and grandfather, but as an honest man who was kind to others and showed true faith in God.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his sister, Elaine; and brothers, Joe, John, and Tom.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Sutton; children and their spouses, Bill and Patricia Sutton, Sherri and Michael Graham, Brad and Beth Sutton, Lisa and Randall Carlan, Lindsey and Clay Pilgrim, Julie and Sanford Spears, Rachael and Jake Meggitt, Anita and Bill Scandrett, Amy and Tad Cantrell, Wayne and Michelle McKinney; 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, July 6, 2024, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Wesley Purcell and the Rev. Wayne McKinney will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 5-7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
