Bobby Alton Brewer was born in Hall County on October 9, 1936. He passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He was the son of Clifford and Mae Brewer and was raised in the North Hall and surrounding areas.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, his three brothers, Gene, Odis and Billy Brewer, and his daughter, Kittie Rashette.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Helen and his daughters, Kim Bryant and Lynn Tyre (Scott) and his son, Greg Brewer (Laurie). Bobby had four grandchildren who adored him; Erin Felder, (Chadd), Bo Brewer (Lindsay), Sierra Brewer and Kristin Holman (Alex). He was a proud great grandpa to four little ones; Brantley and Bennett Felder and Tripp and Olivia Holman.
He was raised his whole life as a Baptist and attended Grace Baptist Church and Chicopee Baptist Churchfor many years. He proudly lived in his community except for his time away when he served his country in the US Air Force. He spent his life as a tradesman first as a welder and teacher of this trade and as a maintenance millwright for SKF in Oakwood until his retirement.
He loved nature and loved spending time in the woods. Stemming from his childhood, he became very adept in identifying trees and would even mimic specific bird sounds. Bobby was a very strong and God-fearing man, and raised his children and taught his grandkids in every way possible to be the same way.
Family, friends and strangers loved his kind and caring ways and knew that he had a good heart. He had a smile, and a heart that would light up a room, and people were drawn to that. He will be loved and missed by many.
