Alan Thomas Reynolds

Alan Thomas Reynolds, 70, of Gainesville, GA passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024 at his residence.

Born October 12, 1953 in Breeze, Illinois to the late Albert and Juanita Reynolds, he had lived in the North Georgia area for the past 50 years.  He was formerly employed as a District Manager in the restaurant industry where he was instrumental in bringing Steak & Shake to Georgia and opening its first 10 locations.  He also opened PoFolks first locations after which he worked for Captain D’s.  Alan also worked in management for Walmart, Petco, and Dollar General.  He enjoyed puzzles, fishing, western movies, yardwork, and collecting Bald Eagles.  A Deacon at Christ Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville, GA, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Sheila Shantz and Marilyn Boeh.

Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Pam Reynolds, Gainesville, GA; children, T. J. and Nicole Reynolds, Bethlehem, GA, Joey Reynolds, Dawsonville, GA, Matt Reynolds, Lawrenceville, GA, Jason Reynolds, Canton, GA; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Lillie Saletzki, Illinois, Jane Sachs, Missouri; brothers and sisters in law, James Reynolds and Niki Whearty, Montana, Lloyd and Dee Dee Reynolds, Georgia; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 5, 2024 from 4 until 8 at Bearden Funeral Home.

Mr. Reynolds will then be taken to Zieren Funeral Home in Carlyle, Illinois for funeral services and interment in the McKendree Chapel Cemetery.
