Vernell Sullens Gooch

Mrs. Vernell Sullens Gooch, age 83, of Braselton passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 at her residence, surrounded by family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Leroy Gooch and Rev. Calvin Gooch will officiate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2024 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gooch was born December 11, 1940 to the late J.C. & Lula Anderson Sullens in Lumpkin County. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Gooch is survived by her children, Stanley & Kelley Gooch of Talmo, Danny & Crystal Gooch of Gainesville, Donna Gooch of Braselton and Carolyn & Wayne Knight of Flowery Branch; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 11 great great-grandchildren; brother, Eugene Sullens of Lula; sister, Glenda Garner of Dahlonega; sister-in-law, Jerri Sullens of Homer; and several nieces & nephews.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Billy Gooch; brothers, Clifton Sullens and Grover Sullens; and sister, Cora Lee Boggs.
