Teresa Johnson Scott

Teresa Johnson Scott, age 60, of Elberton, GA, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Kennedy Johnson; brother, Gregory Lee Johnson; grandson, Branden Gerena.  Ms. Scott is survived by her daughter, Tabitha Scott of Dahlonega, GA; Son, Jeremy Scott of Dahlonega, GA; Father, Carl Johnson of Elberton, GA; Sisters, Rita (Rev. Billy) Lord of Powder Springs, GA, Missy (Allen) Evans of Winder, GA; brother, Richie Johnson of Elberton, GA; three grandchildren, Logan Gerena, Dylan Gerena, and Brianna Gerena; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ms. Scott was born September 9, 1963 in Lawrenceville, GA.  She was a 1981 graduate of North Gwinnett High School.  Ms. Scott worked for the Internal Revenue Service for over 29 years.  She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Rev. Billy Lord officiating.  Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
