Carole Burton Burnett

Carole Burton Burnett, age 80, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024.  She was preceded in death by first husband, Lathan Burton; parents, Jimmy and Inez Hardy; son-in-law, Mark Austin.  Mrs. Burnett is survived by her husband of twenty-eight years, Herby Burnett of Lawrenceville; children, Pam Austin of Loganville, GA, Randy (Alanagh) Burton of Dacula, GA, Tracy (Barry) Sexton of Conyers, GA, Wesley (Lauryl) Burnett of Conyers; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, James C. (Gail) Hardy of Birmingham, AL; sister-in-law, Margie (Reid) Hopkins of Blairsville, GA; brothers-in-law, John (Terri) Burnett of Nicholson, GA, Tony (Donna) Burnett of Stockbridge, GA;  several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Mrs. Burnett was born on July 5, 1943 in Atlanta, GA and was a 1961 graduate of St. Mountain High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula.  She enjoyed crafting, attending flea markets, decorating cakes, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour earlier, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
