Janice Cleghorn Harrison

Janice Cleghorn Harrison, age 78, of Winder, GA, formerly of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Raymond Harrison; parents, Carl and Bernice K. Cleghorn; brother, William Cleghorn; sister, Nell Cronic. She is survived by her daughters, Leigh Ann Harrison of Winder, Debbie Alexander of Buford; son, Jeff Harrison of Winder; grandchildren, Will Alexander of Buford, Tara (Frederick) Thompson of Buford, Tiffany (Jesse) Neidlinger of Waynesboro, GA, Emily Harrison of Peachtree Corners, GA, Ethan (Amy) Harrison of Winder, Jacob Harrison of Winder; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Thompson of Buford, Maddie Thompson of Buford, Stella Neidlinger of Waynesboro; sisters-in-law Edna Smith of Sugar Hill, GA, Sue Hughes of Buford; brother-in-law Edward Harrison of Braselton, GA; nephew, Jonathon (Frances) Cleghorn; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Harrison was born on March 18, 1946 in Gainesville, GA and received her education at North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA.  She retired from Buford City School System as a custodian after thirteen years of service.  In addition, she owned her own child care business in Buford for over fifteen years and kept children that dearly loved her and called her ‘Granny”.  Mrs. Harrison was of the Baptist faith. She played games on Mondays with the senior group at her church, Bethlehem Church in Bethlehem, GA.  Mrs. Harrison also enjoyed country western line dancing.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Spencer Haynes officiating.  Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 26,2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
