Osie Jane Kitchens

Osie Jane Kitchens, of Athens, GA, passed away on June 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 13, 1946, in Columbus, GA to the late Earl Baughcum and Beatrice Everret Baughcum.

Osie was a devoted wife to Gartelle "Bud" Kitchens and a cherished mother to Fred (Tammy) Evans, "Tony" Anthony Kitchens, Deborah Kaye Phillips, Millie Jane Duncan, Cara Lynn Evans, Lisa Rivers, Linda Daubeterre. She was also a loving grandmother to 17 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and children, Osie is survived by her brothers Troy Baughcum, Ray Baughcum, Leon Tkalec, Joe Tkalec, Tony Baughcum; sisters Bertha Lee, Barbara Broome, Sharron Green; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Osie is now reunited with her parents, son John William Evans Jr., brothers Earl Baughcum, Jr., Richard Baughcum, Randy Tkalec, sisters Betty Jean Everret, Corine Cox and Marie Wilson.

A graveside service to honor Osie's life will be held 11 am at Sorrells Springs Church Cemetery in Monroe, GA on June 29, 2024. 

Osie Jane Kitchens will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love for her family, and her dedication to those she held dear. May she rest in peace knowing she was loved by many.
