Valerie Cannon Goff, 68 of Buford, GA made the final trip home Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Valerie is survived by her husband of fifty years, Randy Goff of Buford, GA; son, Brandon [Janèt] Goff of Roswell, GA; daughter, Alison [Adam] Maddox of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren Benjamin and Alexis Goff, Brad, and Brent Maddox; mother Louise T. Cannon, sister, Harriett [Sandy] Cannon Ketcham of Steele, Alabama; Sister-in-Law Barbara [Bill] Luke, Brother-in-law Jeff [Jennifer] Goff along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Valerie was preceded in death by her father, Jack Cannon; brothers Kenny and Timothy Cannon.
Valerie was born on December 3, 1955, in Miami, Florida to parents Jack G. Cannon and Louise T. Cannon. Her family eventually moved to Putney, Georgia when Valerie was in 6th grade where she met the love of her life Randy Goff. Randy and Valerie married on March 24, 1974. Valerie attended Dougherty High School Albany, Georgia and Deaton College and later DeKalb College. She was retired from the accounting firm Rozar Morris LLC.
Valerie was a member of Hebron Baptist Church, Dacula, Georgia and of the Covenant Keepers Sunday School Class. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Valerie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She was involved with the various ministries at Hebron Baptist Church and served in the women’s mentoring group.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, GA with Pastor Landon Dowden officiating. Interment will follow at 5:00pm in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarkesville, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Flanigan Funeral Home.
