James Victor Whitmire

Mr. James Victor Whitmire, age 61 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Memorial Park South Chapel. Rev. Chacer Evans will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Whitmire was born August 19, 1962 to the late Bobbie Eugene & Joyce Genene Whitmire in Gainesville, Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his daughter, Victoria Whitmire McCollum of Gainesville; brothers, Vincent Eugene Whitmire & Jody Whitmire of Gainesville; half-brothers, Steve Cannon & Budgy Reynolds; sisters, Darlene Whitmire Evans Hopkins & Jeannie Savage; and grandchildren, Audrey McCollum & Emmy McCollum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Lane Aiken Whitmire.
