Melissa Lynn Burnette, 57, of Interlachen, FL, formerly of Gainesville passed away June 9, 2024

Born on May 7, 1967 in Roanoke, VA she was the daughter of Ora Jean Brown and the late John William Thompson, Jr. She was a former employee of Limestone Heritage Nursing Home.

In addition to her father, Mrs. Burnette was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Andrew Burnette and brother, Ricky Thompson.

Mrs. Burnette, is survived by her Husband, Tim Burnette of Interlachen, FL; daughters, Crystal Diaz of Braselton, Jessica Rocque of Cleveland; son, Jacob Burnette of Interlachen, FL; mother, Ora Jean Thompson of Gainesville; sister, Michelle Burnette of Gainesville; brother, William Thompson of Union, MO; step daughter, Melanie Majors of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Tobias Diaz, Marcus Rocque, Summer Rocque, Meshea Burnette, Ellie Burnette and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Barry Barron will officiate.
