Lessie Mae Birdwell McDaniel

Lessie Mae Birdwell McDaniel, age 83, of Flowery Branch, GA, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McDaniel; father, Howard Buster Birdwell and mother, Callie; sisters, Gloria Painter and Janice Watson; and brother, Gene Birdwell. Mrs. Birdwell is survived by children, Randy Thornburg of Flowery Branch, Robert Smalley of Flowery Branch, Elizabeth and Edwin Roberts of Braselton; four grandchildren; brothers, Royce (Yolie) Birdwell of Sandy Springs, GA and George Birdwell of Flowery Branch; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Birdwell was born on February 21, 1941 in Lubbock, Texas, and received her education there. She was a homemaker and a Christian. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA with Rev. Carl Helton. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service and meet at the cemetery by 12:45 p.m. on Monday, June 17.
