Donald Anderson Dougherty

Mr. Donald Anderson Dougherty, age 78 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.        

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 1 – 3 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.         

Mr. Dougherty was born January 31, 1946 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Tom Dougherty and Evalou Grant Dougherty.  He was retired from Hall County Board of Education and was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.  Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his sister & brother-in-law, Shirley & Jim Robinson and his brothers, Wiley Dougherty and Billy Dougherty.   

Mr. Dougherty is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Jenny & Kyle Schofield of Gainesville, his sister, Thelma Russell of Gainesville, his sister & brother-in-law, Brenda & Sammy Harris of Gainesville, his brother & sister-in-law, David & Martha Dougherty of Gainesville, his sister-in-law, Mildred Dougherty of Gainesville, his sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Lynn & James Telford of Homer, his nieces, Cindy (Steve) Stephens, Jamie Pasquarelli, Robin (Robin) Callahan, his great nephews, Griffin Stephens and Chase Stephens and a number of other special nieces and nephews also survive.
