Mr. Emanuel Grizzle, 94, of Buford, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at his residence following an extended illness.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Peck will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born on January 14, 1930 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Jane Gilleland Grizzle. He was retired from Wrigley’s where he worked for over 21 years.
A loving son; a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, he was married to Betty for over 66 years. He was a faithful Christian and man of great integrity.
In addition to his parents, Arthur and Mary Jane Grizzle, Mr. Grizzle was preceded in death by his brothers, Floyd Grizzle, Otis Grizzle, Homer Grizzle, Hubert Grizzle, Howard Grizzle, Walter Grizzle, Jimmy Grizzle, W.A. Grizzle, B.F. Grizzle, sisters, Mandy Hulsey, Nell Underwood, Bertha Cravan and Annie Waycaster.
Mr. Grizzle is survived by his wife, Betty Grizzle; children, Larry and Dena Grizzle of Gainesville, Ricky Grizzle of Whitter, NC, Randall and Rita Grizzle of Hoschton; grandchildren, Richelle Higgins, Amy Anderson, Alesha Nix, Mitchel Pless, Julie Elder; 10 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
