Rebecca (Becky) Joan McBryant

Rebecca (Becky) Joan McBryant, age 67, of Buford, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Benny Lelon and Joan McBryant.  She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Julie McBryant; niece Katie (John) Gulisano and nephew Ben (Kayla) McBryant; great nieces and nephews: Hazel and Johnny Gulisano, Harleigh James and Hank McBryant; aunt and uncle, Polly and Jerry Applebee.  

Becky was born on September 25, 1956 in a military hospital in Frankfort, Germany.  She moved with her family to Buford in 1974 and graduated from Buford High school in 1976.  

Following graduation, Becky lived and worked in the Buford area and retired from Kroger after 25 years of service where she never met a stranger and always greeted her customers with a smile.  She was a member of Sugar Hill Church and participated in many mission ministries.  She enjoyed traveling to places such as Israel, Hawaii, Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding areas with family and friends, as well as shopping and giving to ministries such as Sugarhill Backpack Ministry and Operation Christmas Child.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the 11:00 service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sugar Hill Church Mission Ministries in memory of Becky McBryant.
