Steve Michael Bennett

Mr. Steve Michael Bennett, age 71 of Toccoa passed away Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A son of the late Boyd and Joyce Fulghum Bennett, he was born September 5, 1952 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived most of his life.  He was a self-employed carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Aaron Bennett and Danny Wells.

Survivors include his siblings, Joan Keller, Jerry Bennett, Linda Williams, Maxine Bennett and Cary Bennett; a number of nieces and nephews; caregivers, Cindy Doorley and Holly Moore.

Memorial service will be Thursday, June 13, 2024, 2 o’clock p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with The Reverend David Sosebee officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until the service time.

The family would like to express their thanks to the Stephens County Hospital, ICU Unit and Comfort Care Unit staff, nurses and doctors for the love and compassion extended to their loved one during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, Renovation and Expansion Fund, 6731 Mize Road, Toccoa, Georgia in memory of Mr. Steve Michael Bennett.
