Charles Frank Young, Jr.

Charles Frank Young, Jr., age 70, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Young, Sr.; mother, Sara Ann Weldon Young; father-in-law, Wendell Miller; CLOSE friend, Gary Stedman.  Mr. Young is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Joyce Miller Young; children, Jessica Brannon of Flowery Branch, Charles Justin (Ashley) Young of Winder, GA, Christopher Frank Young of Flowery Branch; four grandchildren, Mason, Charleigh, Grayson, and Hadleigh; sister, Lynn (Brad) Baird of Lilburn, GA; mother-in-law, Clora Miller of Auburn, GA; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; extended family, Eddie Davis, Al Moore, Rick Armstrong.  Mr. Young was born on October 28, 1953 in Montgomery, AL.  He graduated from Terry Parker High School in Jacksonville, FL.  He was retired from Home Depot in sales with twenty years of service.  Mr. Young was the caregiver for his son, Chris.  He enjoyed life to the fullest.  Mr. Young was a golfer and also enjoyed teaching his grandchildren golfing; teaching his grandchildren how to “grip it and rip it”.  He loved to cook with barbeque chicken as his specialty.  Mr. Young enjoyed spending time at the beach, especially Panama City Beach, with his family.  A Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Stateroom of Flanigan Funeral Home.
