Cheryl “Cheri” Springer Pyke

Cheryl “Cheri” Springer Pyke, 75, of Hoschton passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 surrounded by family following an extended illness. Cheri was born December 29, 1948, in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of the late Helen Ferne Springer and Chester Earl Springer.

Cheri was proceeded in death by her loving husband Donald (Don) Charles Pyke and her brother Rodger (Rod) Dean Springer.

Cheri’s greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Surviving Cheri are her beloved children and their spouses, Tamara Pyke Hammock and Barry Hammock, Kimberly Pyke Fields and James Fields, Amy Pyke Dobbins and Brad Dobbins, William Thomas Pyke II and Amanda Pyke. Her adored grandchildren Staff Sergeant Blake Hammock and wife Coral, Hunter Hardeman and wife Mary Lyn, Joshua Chastine and wife Savannah, Brandon Davis Hammock, Ashley Katelyn Chastine, Donovan Connor Hammock, Charles Montgomery Dobbins, Jack Thomas Dobbins.  Her treasured great- grandchildren Whitney Emmaus Hammock, Elijah Raleigh Chastine and Brady Clarke Hammock. Cheri is also survived by her sister-in-law, Louise Springer and many nephews and nieces. 

Cheri loved laughing and having fun. She never met a stranger and saw the good in everyone. Cheri loved taking pictures and she adored Mickey Mouse. She loved to travel with family and friends when ever she could.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Friday, June 14, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
