Sandra Bell Dowdy

Sandra Bell Dowdy, age 76, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howell and Mildred Benefield Bell; sister, Brenda Bell Williams; brothers, Robert Bell and Carroll Bell. Mrs. Dowdy is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Kenneth J. Dowdy of Flowery Branch; son, Russ (Trina) Dowdy of Gainesville, GA; daughter, Kem Dowdy of Flowery Branch; grandchild, Kristi (Casey) Adams of Gainesville; sister, Alice (Bonnie) Pruett of Buford, GA; brother, Charles (Jimmie) Bell of Buford, GA; sisters-in-law, Rilla Jones Bell of Chestnut Mountain, GA, Pat Dowdy of Flowery Branch, Linda Dowdy of Estero, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Dowdy was born on December 20, 1947 in Pendergrass, GA and was a 1965 graduate of South Hall High School. She was a retired office manager and a member of Friendship Community Baptist Church. Mrs. Dowdy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who loved her granddaughter dearly and her other family members.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Pirkle and Rev. Lowell Whitmire officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park South Cemetery in Flowery Branch, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friendship Community Baptist Church (3908 Friendship Road, Bufford, GA 30519) in memory of Sandra Bell Dowdy.
