Marie Haney Berry

Marie Haney Berry, age 98, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Everett Berry; parents, John and Ella Fraser Haney; sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie Mae and Ralph Wheeler, Ima and Marvin Clark; brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen and Mary Haney, W. C. “Dub” and Sue Haney, Jay Loss and Ruby Haney, Johnny and Willene Haney, and Herbert and Lida Haney. Mrs. Berry is survived by her brother, Jesse Lee and wife Sara Haney; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. She was born on November 27, 1925 in Buford, GA and was a lifelong resident of Buford and a lifelong member of New Bethany Baptist Church in Buford. Mrs. Berry was a retired leather worker from Georgia Boot Company. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, doing embroidery, and reading. She was always wanting to help other people and take care of them. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Haney and Rev. John Haney officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 10 from 11:00 a.m. until time for the service at 2:00 p.m.
