Mrs. Mildred Housley Foster, 95, of Gainesville, Georgia, flew into the arms of her beloved husband, Charlie, Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
She was born March 25, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Louie Alonzo Housley and Jessie Mae Parker Housley.
She was the ultimate wife and a wonderful mother. She and Charlie lived for 40 years in Stone Mountain. She was a long time member of Smoke Rise Morning Glories, as she loved flowers and gardening. She loved to read, cook, and entertain. Christmas was her favorite time of year and she always wanted to buy more decorations. Above all, she was an elegant “First Lady” and supporter of Charlie in his many business ventures. Her granddaughter quoted “Heaven gained a classy, beautiful lady tonight”.
Mildred is survived by sons, Randy and Cindy Foster and David and Brenda Foster; daughter, Cindy and Johnny Ricks; Six grandchildren and their spouses; and Nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia.
