Roy Carraway

With profound sadness and a deep sense of loss, we announce the passing of Roy Carraway, a cherished patriarch, a beacon of joy, and a sweetheart of a man. Roy was a man of great faith and boundless love, whose laughter was contagious, and whose presence was a comfort to all who knew him. He adored his wife and was so very proud of all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Roy’s love for the Lord was the compass that guided his life, leading him to embrace each day with a spirit of gratitude. He had an appreciation for good music, good food, and good fun!

Roy’s love for golf was matched only by his enthusiasm for life itself. Though the fairways may not have always seen his best game, his passion for the sport was a testament to his belief in joy over perfection.  

Roy’s love of running mirrored his journey through life – resilient, steadfast, and always moving forward. His friends, like his family, were a tapestry of love, loyalty, and cherished memories.

Roy is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Judy; his beloved children, Kurt (Pam), Kevin, Jane (Miguel), Angelo (Patti), Nikki (Tim), and Mike; his 10 adoring grandchildren; and 5 great-grandsons, who will carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and generosity.

In Roy’s memory, let us honor his life by living ours with the same passion for the Lord, kindness, and zest for life. He may have left this earthly realm, but his light will continue to shine in the hearts of those he touched.

Rest in peace, dear Roy. You have run the race, you have kept the faith, and now, you rest in the eternal embrace of the Lord you so dearly loved.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home. Taylor Hardy will officiate.
