Betty Jo Moon Waycaster

Betty Jo Moon Waycaster, age 86, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Rev. Quinton Waycaster; daughter, Judy Mitchell; son, Tommy Waycaster; parents, Jim and Ettie Moon; two sisters; one brother.  Mrs. Waycaster is survived by her children, Jody (Mike) Nelson of Mexico Beach, FL, Janie Pettit of Sugar Hill, GA, Jason (Kim) Waycaster of Winder, GA; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brothers, James Moon of Gainesville, GA, John Moon of Winder, GA, Ted (Robin) Moon of Flowery Branch, GA, Tim (Sally) Moon of Planation, FL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Waycaster was born on August 8, 1937 in Avondale Estate, GA and graduated from Sugar Hill High School in 1956.  She was a homemaker and also was retired from Immucor Co.  Mrs. Waycaster was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Statham, GA.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Dibbler officiating.  Interment will follow at the Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
