Maryann Florence Smith

Mrs. Maryann Florence Smith, 65, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024 following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

 Born on May 27, 1959 in Framingham, MA, she was the daughter of the late Clifford J. and Luella M. Carey Phelps. She was retired from Popeye’s Restaurant and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Smith; daughter, Cher Singleton and sister and brother in law, Trudy and Ron Brown.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her niece and husband, Cindy and Raymone Whelchel of Lula; nephew, Jeff Brown and great niece and nephew, Kiaya and Jada.
