Martha Jean Williams

Martha Jean Williams, age 84 of Jefferson, GA, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024. Jean was born July 25, 1939, in Buford, GA to Cline and Ruth Brackett, and was a graduate of Buford High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Sue King and Faye Chambers, and son Jimmy Mitchell. Jean is survived by her husband Robert Williams. Sons, Terry Mitchell, Hoschton, GA, Tommy Mitchell (Annette) Lester, AL, Todd Mitchell (Pam), Buford. Special friend, Wendy Phillips. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Jean was a devoted child of God, who never missed an opportunity to tell others about Jesus and make sure they knew him. She will be missed here on earth, but we know we will see her again soon in heaven. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jerry Bennett will officiate. Flowers accepted or contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in memory of Jean Williams.
