Mr. Robert Byron Palmer, age 77 of Big A School Road, Toccoa passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024 at his residence.
A son of the late Howard Palmer and Irene Atkins Standridge, he was born November 28, 1946 in Habersham County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was employed with Cope Cabinetry as a truck driver for a number of years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Nicholson, grandson, Jay Nicholson and by two brothers, Clyde Palmer and Billy Palmer.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Darlene Adams Palmer; daughter, Trina Jones of Toccoa; two sons, Brett Palmer of the home and Shane Palmer of Cornelia; granddaughters, Lexi Holbrooks, Taylor Palmer and Courtney Nicholson; grandsons, Tyler Jones, Evan Palmer, Braxton Martin and Trevor Palmer; great-grandson, Levi Jones; brother, Bruce Palmer of Cornelia; sister, Linda Ivester of Hollywood, Georgia; brother-in-law reared in the home, Anthony Adams; known as Papa to Aden Adams, Jax Adams, Maverick Adams, Wyatt Linkous and Piper Linkous; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 31, 2024, 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Judy Carruth officiating.

His wishes were to be cremated and cremation will follow.
