Ronald D. “Ronnie” Ayers

Ronald D. “Ronnie” Ayers, 72, of Canton passed away Monday, May 27, 2024.

He was born November 21, 1951 to the late Thomas W., Sr. and Ellene Ayers.  A native of Dawson County, he retired as a Warehouse Manager for Coca Cola in Marietta.  Ronnie enjoyed his cigars, the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, Wheel of Fortune, NASCAR, camping and fishing.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Don Ayers, Terry Ayers, and brother in law, Randy Edwards.

Surviving are his children, Melanie and Ken Mitchell, St. Augustine, FL, Matthew and Lana Ayers, Canton, Mark and Heather Ayers, Canton, Tony and Laurel Tabaka, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers in law, Sue and Ed Ingram, Dawsonville, Linda and Vernon Ingram, Tifton, Beverly and Howard Farmer, Cornelia, Wanda Edwards, Dawsonville, Wilma and Ricky Crawford, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters in law, Tom, Jr. and Helen Ayers, Dawsonville, Tony and Sharon Ayers, Dawsonville; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Tim Bennett will officiate.  Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
