Evelyn Gracie Lou Dodd Crane

Mrs. Evelyn Gracie Lou Dodd Crane, age 86 of Flowery Branch, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Oaks of Braselton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Memorial Park South Chapel with interment following at Broadlawn Cemetery. Rev. Tim Bailey will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Crane was born April 26, 1938 to the late Jairus J & Ophie Disharoon Dodd in Buford, Georgia. She resided on the Crane family farm on Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch for 66 years and retired from Chicopee (Johnson & Johnson) on November 1, 1993 as a Loomer in the Cotton Division. She was of Baptist faith and frequently attended First Baptist Church Flowery Branch.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Kenneth Russell Crane; daughter, Brenda Faye Cain; and siblings, Elsie Dodd Day, Pauline Dodd Lane, & Jerry Joseph Dodd.

She is survived by her sons, Royce (Schaun) Crane & Keith (Dale) Crane; daughter, Tammy (Philip) Manders; son-in-law, Steve Cain; grandchildren, Donna (Scott) Samples, Russell Jordan, Brandon (Alex) Manders, Cody (Amanda) Manders, & Samuel (Ashley) Crane; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Delmer Dodd, Kenneth Dodd, & Wayman Dodd; sister, Jane Dodd Palmer; and sister-in-law, Inez Crane.
