Bridgett Powers, beloved mother to Josh and Dakota Powers, passed away unexpectedly at her home on May 15, 2024 at the age of 59. Born in Atlanta, GA, to James and Tonnie Jo Archer, Bridgett was the youngest of three children. She attended Buford High School, where she formed many lifelong friendships and memories. She is survived by her two sons, Josh and Dakota Powers. Her two brothers, Sam and Troy Archer. Her sister-in-law, Michelle Archer. Her daughter-in-law, Corell Powers, and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews. Bridgett was predeceased by her parents, James Archer and Tonnie Jo Archer. After high school, Bridgett married Terry Powers, with whom she shared 15 years of marriage. Together, they raised their two sons, Josh and Dakota. Bridgett's love and devotion to her sons was central to her life. She dedicated herself to ensuring their happiness and success, taking immense pride in the responsible adults they have become. Her constant love for her family was evident throughout her life. Her kind and nurturing spirit also extended beyond her immediate family. She maintained a close and lifelong friendship with Brittany Faulkner, her best friend since high school. Known for her bright and beautiful smile, outgoing personality, and friendly demeanor, Bridgett was quick to make friends and loved to laugh, spreading happiness wherever she went. Her vibrant personality and love for adventure were evident in her many travels and the joy she found in everyday moments. Bridgett enjoyed a fulfilling career as an insurance claims assistant at State Farm, where she was known for her professionalism and dedication. She loved working in insurance because it allowed her to help people with their problems, a role she found deeply rewarding. Outside of work, Bridgett had a passion for traveling, spending quality time with her family, watching movies, and dining out. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her sons, family, and friends who cherished her dearly. A memorial service will be held to honor Bridgett's life on May 28th, 2024 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Flanigan’s Funeral Home.
