Roy Thomas "Tommy" Shaw

Roy Thomas “Tommy” Shaw, age 84 of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Mr. Shaw was born March 9, 1940, in Burlington, NC to the late Carl Flake Shaw Sr, and Flossie Kimes Shaw. Tommy was an active member of Cleveland First Baptist Church for over 40 years and was an active member of Gideons until his illness no longer allowed it. He owned and operated Foothills Auto Parts in Cleveland for many years until he decided to semi retire. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Brenda Shaw and son-in-law, Joe Sarbon.

Tommy was a proud father and wonderful daddy to his 2 girls, Sharon Brown (Gordon), Kimberly Sarbon, he was a papa to Hunter Norton (Audrey), Taylor Brown, Grace Jones and to his 3 great grandchildren, Kai Norton, Shia Beach and Mila Beach.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Cleveland First Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis Turner and Rev. Jimmy Peck will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
