Earsell Hendrix Buffington

Earsell Hendrix Buffington was born in Gillsville, Georgia on October 13, 1936. She is preceded in death by her late husband Franklin Buffington Sr., her parents L.S. Hendrix and Amanda May Jarrett Hendrix, three brothers - Cornell Hendrix, Melvin Hendrix, and Hollis Hendrix. She was employed by Warren Featherbone until she retired. She was a member of the Senior Usher board as well as the United Methodist Women organization. She loved gardening, having conversations on the phone with her family and friends. She also loved cooking, traveling and watching game shows, especially Family Feud " Steve Harvey". Her favorite color was orange, and her favorite song was song " Cooling water" and scripture passage (Psalms 23). Her legacy continues with her children: Barbara Buffington, Randolph (Linda Faye) Buffington, Phyllis (Nathaniel Stevens) Jackson, Franklin Buffington Jr, Gail Yarbrough, Tracy (Selena) Buffington, Kenneth Lott and Dwight Thormond. Three Sisters: Almeria Richardson, Louise Goudelock, Blondine Hendrix Jackson, Two brothers: Eddie Joe (Highway) Hendrix, Otis (Margret) Hendrix. She will also be cherished by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday May 25, 2024, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM. The visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, between the hours of 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM at Wimberly Funeral Home. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
