Tuong Minh Pham

Tuong Minh Pham, age 81, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024.

He was born October 20, 1942 in Saigon, Vietnam during French Indochina occupation. He was married to Bay Le and had 4 sons and six grandchildren. He served as a captain in the Republic of South Vietnam and was a prisoner of war after the Fall of Saigon in 1975 for 8 years. By strong-willed and an enduring faith in God, he survived and was sent home to be with his family. His life afterwards was tough and full of burdens. Starting his life over again completely from nothing, he was able to raise his family with love and hope. In 1993, he immigrated to the United States via the Humanitarian Operation and resided in California for 3 years. Because of financial struggles and hardships, he moved to Gainesville, GA in 1996 where he bought his first house and had a stable employment.

Tuong Minh Pham was well-known in his church for his kindness and strong spirituality. He liked to help people who just came over from Vietnam and welcomed them to a better life. Unfortunately two years ago, he was diagnosed with a terminal illness that cannot be cured. Although with the acknowledgement of the news, he persevered and fought his hardest with lung cancer. During the time of treatments, he always believed in God and never once gave up to the crippling disease. In the last days of his life, he accepted Jesus as his savior and was loved by his family and friends in his house.

May Tuong Minh Pham follow the light of God that will lead him to the gate of Heaven. May the angels guide him to meet Jesus where he can finally rest in peace.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Memorial Park Funeral Home 2030 Memorial Park Road Gainesville, GA 30504.

Funeral Mass will be held at 1 :00 pm Thursday, May 23, 2024 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Glass Niche Columbarium.
