Linda Joyce Pattillo Hulsey

Linda Joyce Pattillo Hulsey, 80, of Sharpsburg, GA passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024.

Born January 3, 1944 in West Point, GA to the late Olin Shade and Louneal Pattillo, she had lived in Sharpsburg for the past 8 years.  Mrs. Hulsey held degrees from Young Harris College, the University of Georgia and LaGrange College and retired as an Elementary School teacher in Troup County following 38 years of service.  She was very devoted to her family, enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping, and picking up shells on the beach.  Linda attended Cornerstone Methodist Church and was also preceded in death by her sister, Patti Slade.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Stephen Hulsey, Sharpsburg; daughter and son in law, Stephanie Lynn and Tommy Falkenberry, Newnan; son and daughter in law, Michael Olin and Carrie Hulsey, Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Maggie and Rigo Segovia, Will Falkenberry, Hampton Hulsey, Mary Ellis Hulsey; great granddaughter, Sophia Segovia; sisters and brother in law, Jane and Frank Lake, Gainesville, Merianna Tomlin, LaGrange; sisters in law and brother in law, Joanna and Glennon Grogan, Peggy Hulsey; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Cory Gilleland will officiate.  Interment services will follow in the Dawsonville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 until 2 at the funeral home.
