Jimmie Lou (McClure) Hulsey, 86 of Gainesville, entered Heaven’s Gates on May 15, 2024.
She was born October 18, 1937, to the late McClain McClure and Lily Parr McClure of Gillsville, Ga. She graduated from Banks County High School. On October 19, 1956, she married Talmadge Hulsey and lived in Gainesville for the remainder of her life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She loved her community and attending Northlake Baptist Church. Mrs. Hulsey was the co-founder of Empire Pest Control in Gainesville, Ga.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by five siblings, Evelyn Wilson Garrett, Donald McClure, Doyle McClure, Cecil McClure and Judy Martin. Great granddaughter, Emmaline Paige Edwards.
Survivors include her daughters, Pam Deyton, Kaye Lee (Richard) and son, Jason Hulsey (Kathy). Grandchildren, Casey Deyton, Kyle Hix, Makayla Lee, Konner Hulsey and step grandchildren, Paige Edwards (Spencer) and Blair Cantrell (Tim). Great grandchildren, River Edwards and Rhett Edwards. Her sister Carolyn Standridge (Jerry) Sisters-in-law LaVerne McClure and Jeanette Bryant. Many loved nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday May 18, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Tony Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday May 17 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Little & Davenport Funeral Home.
