Betty Moore Freeman

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Betty Moore Freeman, age 87 of Nicholson, Georgia who entered rest Monday, May 13, 2024. Mrs. Freeman was born in Nicholson, Georgia a daughter of the late Tom Ross Moore and the late Asleen Matthews Moore. Mrs. Freeman retired from Athens Regional Hospital. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Freeman is preceded by her husband Jack Charles Freeman, sister, Juanita Moore, brothers; Donnie, Gary, Bob, Harold, James, John Henry, Doug and H.T. Moore.

Survivors include two sisters, Carol Walker (Don) of Panama City Beach, Florida, Glenda Conwell (Gene) of Greer, South Carolina. Brothers, Ronnie Moore (Pam) of Athens, David Moore (Linda) of Buford. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 16, 2024 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crooked Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Thursday, prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
