Mary E. Sowell

Mary E. Boutte Sowell was born March 18, 1953, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the late Ralph and Theresa Boutte. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Ralph Boutte Jr., two sisters Cheryl Boutte Blaylock and Deborah Boutte Simien. Ms. Mary was known for her special walk with God, beautiful singing voice, praying for people, being a caretaker for the elderly, and her love for playing bid whist with her friends at the senior center. She departed from this life on May 13, 2024, to be present with God. She leaves to cherish memories her devoted daughters Paulette Sowell Morgan, Lydia Sowell, granddaughters Chloe Cooper and Leah Parker, one brother Dana Boutte and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, play daughters, cousins and loving friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Lou Walker Senior Center Victory Room, Lithonia, GA between the hours of 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
