Vas Dan Pardue passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday at the age of 92.
He was born May 13, 1932 in Cleveland GA, to the late Grady Pardue and Mozelle Hefner Pardue, the 2nd of their seven boys.
Dan married his life partner, Jean Haynes Pardue in 1951. Dan proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956, during the Korean War. He returned to White County after his release from the Air Force and built his home at Mossy Creek in 1957, where he lived until his death.
Dan graduated with an Associate’s degree from Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, GA and also attended Piedmont College in Demorest, GA.
Dan was a carpenter as was his father and grandfather before him. He never met a stranger and always had a good story to tell. He led an active life full of family and community.
Dan was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Clermont, GA, where he actively volunteered in their men’s ministry for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 65 years, Jean Haynes Pardue and his brothers, Hal, Pearson, Allan, & Vince Pardue.
Dan is survived by his sons, Randall Pardue of Gainesville GA, Ricky Pardue of Cleveland GA; daughters, Danette Clements (Gregg) of Gainesville GA, and Deena Riedinger (Royal) of Milton GA; grandchildren, Lisa Nichols, Kevin Pardue, Shay Pardue, Jacob Wiley, Dennis Wiley, Nicole Pardue, Rachel Galvan, Allison Moore, Taylor Evans, Dylan Evans & Chandler Redding; 17 great-grandchildren & 4 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ken (Linda) Pardue of Franklin NC & Milton (Ann) Pardue of Elijah GA; sisters-in-law, Jean Pardue & Ruth Pardue of Cleveland GA, Betty Pardue of Murrayville GA & Grace Gilreath of Gainesville GA.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Trinity United Methodist Church (5622 Clarks Bridge Road) in Clermont. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jeremy Noffsinger and Rev. Dylan Evans will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1-4 P.M. and from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the funeral home.
