Harold Edward Watkins

Mr. Harold Edward Watkins, age 88, of Homer, GA died Saturday, May 11, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Watkins was born in Gillsville to the late Charlie and Hular Baker Watkins. He was a retired truck driver. In addition to his parents, Mr. Watkins was preceded in death by his son, Dwight Watkins; daughter, Vickie Westmoreland; and grandson, Jude Pritchett.

Mr. Watkins is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Meeks Watkins of Homer; daughter, Teresa Kesler of Nicholson; sons, Bobby Watkins of Lula, Wyman Watkins of Carnesville, Courtney Watkins and Jeffery Watkins both of Homer; sister, Barbara Purcell of Newnan; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Wednesday, May 15 graveside at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Wayne Abernathy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM.
