Peggy Thompson Ethridge, age 72, of Buford, GA, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Louise Bruce Thompson; brothers, Elton Thompson, D.J. Thompson, and Ricky Thompson. Mrs. Ethridge is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jerry W. Ethridge of Buford, GA; children, Wayne (Beth) Ethridge of Buford, GA, Jamie Ethridge and Jina Klobucar of Buford, GA, Brian (Sasha) Ethridge of Buford, GA, Jeremy (Katrina) Ethridge of Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Kristen (Corey) DiPolito, Brooke (Dalton) Chandler, Josh (Taylor) Ethridge, Keith (Madison) Ethridge, Jacob (Jordan) Ethridge, Savanna Storbeck, Jared (Kayla) Ethridge, Gage Ethridge, Addison Ethridge; great-grandsons, J.W. Chandler, Brex Ethridge; great-granddaughters, Dallas DiPolito, Memphis Ethridge; sisters, Katherine Moon of Winder, GA, Paulette Bailey of Jefferson, GA, Jean (Rudolph) Pruitt of Jefferson, GA, Brenda (Toby) Lindelind of Martin, GA, Debra (David) Bennett of Lawrenceville, GA, Joan (Randy) Sanders of Buford, GA; brothers, Roy (Diane) Thompson of Jefferson, GA, Raymond Thompson of Buford, GA; sister-in-law, Becky Thompson of Buford, GA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Ethridge was born on September 10, 1951 in Duluth, GA. She received her education at Duluth High School. She was a homemaker and also worked for Quality Foods in Sugar Hill, GA. Mrs. Ethridge worked at the concession stands for Buford Little League Baseball and Football. She was a member of Peachtree Road Baptist Church aka Old Field Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Terry Pruitt and Rev. David Bailey. Interment will follow the service at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth, GA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 and from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at Flanigan Funeral Home.
