Steven Wayne Thrift

Mr. Steven Wayne Thrift, age 49, of Winder, passed away on Thursday, May 09, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton.

Steve was born on Monday, August 19, 1974 to Mr. Lonell Thrift & Mrs. Rachel Thrift in Waycross, Georgia.

Steve is a military veteran serving in the army 24 infantry division and received the national defense service metal. He attended Devry Institute, and worked in the IT field for many years. Most recently he was a plant superintendent at Dayton Superior Corporation in Braselton, where he was admired by many of his colleagues.

Steve enjoyed mixing music and djing, collecting vinyl records and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Thrift is survived by his wife of 5 years, Megan Thrift; sons, Terrell Thrift (Jessica), Remy Thrift, & Christopher Thrift (Ayana); daughter, Maya Lewis; Brother, Kevin Thrift; Sister, Becky Thrift ( Chris); grandchildren, Johnathan, Kinley, Anderson, & Varian; & his fur babies, Lev, Marley, & Midnight. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Lonell & Mrs. Rachel Thrift.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Braselton Funeral Home with a service at 1:00PM in the Braselton Chapel.
