Barbara “Bobbie” Elaine Truelove, age 60, of Gainesville, Georgia, beloved sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully, Monday, May 6, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
Born July 22, 1963, to the late Henry Lee and Gladys (Young) Truelove, Bobbie was a beacon of kindness and generosity in her community and an unwavering servant of Christ. Throughout her life, Bobbie dedicated herself to caring for others, most notable her sister Sara Truelove, whom she lovingly attended to during her prolonged illness. Her compassion knew no bounds, as evidenced by her personal mission for Christ – distributing crosses from the Holy Land, touching many lives around her. Bobbie found immense joy in traveling, whether it was her eagerly anticipated annual trips to Swamp Gravy or exploring new places with her friends and family. She never met a stranger and made friends wherever she went, a testament to her warm and open heart. Her professional life was spent at SKF Bearings, where after three decades, she retired, leaving behind not just colleagues but a family of lifelong friends. Bobbie also served as a cherished second mother to her nieces and nephews, Brian Hand, Alisa Crimaldi, Robert Amaro, Justen Harris, and Stacia Fleming, and she was a proud aunt to nine great-nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her loving sister Louise Harris, and loving brothers-in-law, Terry Harris and David Hand. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Sara Truelove and Dianne Hand.
A lifelong member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and an avid Atlanta Falcon fan, her spirit and enthusiasm were infectious. Bobbie was adored by many and will be dearly missed. Her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire those who knew her.
