Mr. Richard Michael “Mike” Andrews, age 85 of Greenville, South Carolina formerly of Toccoa passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, South Carolina.
A son of the late Ralph Doyle Andrews and Floy Black Andrews, he was born July 17, 1938, in Toccoa, Georgia. Mike was a graduate of Toccoa High School, Class of 1956. He attended North Georgia College (1956-1957) and went on to attend Georgia Institute Technology (1957-1960). He honorably served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
He owned and operated Andrews Clover Farm Market in Toccoa from 1962 to 1976. He served as Vice- President and General Manager of the Mr. B’s Convenience Store chain from 1976 to 1990. He continued his career with Sav-A-Ton Convenience Stores as Vice-President from 1990 to 1993 and finally worked in wholesale grocery sales, primarily as Regional Sales Director for Charles C. Parks Company from 1993 until his retirement in 2010.
While residing in Toccoa, he was a member of First Baptist Church and later was a member of First Baptist Church of Roswell while residing there from 1998 to 2022. Mike was a giving partner to In Touch Ministries for over 40 years. In addition to being a long-time member of Shriners International and the Toccoa Elks Lodge, he served as a high school football referee for the North Georgia Conference for over 25 years. In retirement he became an avid golfer, playing frequently at Alpharetta Country Club where he was a long-time member.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years of their home in Greenville, South Carolina, Paulette D. Andrews; his children, Tamara “Tammy” Andrews Foster and her husband, Randy Foster of Lavonia, Georgia, Richard Michael “Mike” Andrews, Jr. and his wife, Leigh of Dallas, Texas, and the mother of his children, Barbara D. Andrews of Toccoa. Tammy and Randy’s children and their spouses and grandchildren are: Kyle Foster and his wife, Amanda and son, Noah of Lavonia, Georgia, Will Foster and his wife, A.J. and their daughters, Quin, Tess and Jovi of Nicholson, Georgia, and John Foster and his wife, AnnaBeth and their daughters, Cora and Claire of Lavonia, Georgia. Mike and Leigh’s children are Katherine Hagen, who lives in Washington D.C. with her husband, Jack and Caroline Andrews of Brooklyn, New York.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 30, 2024, 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Dr. Larry Finger and Mr. Bill Rolland officiating.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mike Andrews.
