Martha Ann (Carder) Gibson Murphy Ballance

Mrs. Martha Ann (Carder) Gibson Murphy Ballance, age 74, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024.

        Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date and posted on Facebook.

        Martha was born, May 4, 1949 in Gainesville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Willie Fay Carder and Bessie Lou (Turner) Wilkie. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Rickey Carder.

        Martha was raised in the Holiness Faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her flower garden when she was able.

        She is survived by her husband, Danny Steve Ballance; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Troy Vaughn; son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Hilda Gibson; daughter, Amanda Gibson Wetherington; grandchildren, Kyle and Shannon Gibson; Casey and Mark Chancey and Kelly and Wes King; Elisha Gibson and Destiny; Cortney Gibson and Brittney Williams; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Diane Smallwood; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Brenda Carder; David and Debbie Carder; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family also survive.
